#BigBlogX Adventure Day 8: Clifton Hill and the Niagara Falls
I think the first thing that comes to everyone’s mind when it comes to Canada is Maple Leaves, or the Niagara Falls! The next morning I took the 6am flight to Toronto.
This is how I looked like cause I had to leave HI Calgary Hostel at 4.30am.
Yay! 😀
Myriam from HI Niagara picked me up from the airport and we then drove around 1.5 hours to Niagara Falls, Ontario!
We then went to Downtown Niagara to have lunch first because both of us were really, really hungry.
Hi-Lite is a very classic American diner located at Queens St and has been around for many, many years.
Pretty nostalgic eh?
Here is Myriam ordering our classic American lunch! 😀
After lunch, we proceeded to a place called the Clifton Hill, and it made me feel like a kid all over again!
Look at how fun this place is! There’s Dinosaurland, Movieland, awesome designs, funky billboards, basically it’s a like a mini Las Vegas!
I was euphoric!
It’s MGM!! #goingcrazy
After a short walk across Clifton Hill, we were greeted by this! On the left is the US falls, and on the right is the Canada falls.
Up close!
HI Hostel Niagara arranged a Maid of the Mist boat tour where I will be able to go close to the falls! How awesome is that right!!
Admiring the view before boarding the Maid of the Mist! (And yes I bought the wrong Little America Herschel backpack. It’s too huge. T________T)
We were given ponchos because it’s gonna be crazy wet later! 😀
So excited! Being an Asian, I wanted to go as near as possible to the edge of the boat. Haha.
Here’s a short video of the Maid of the Mist ride!
I WAS THIS CLOSE TO THE FALLS!!
After the ride, we walked around Clifton Hill again.
Tried Beaver Tails which is fried dough pastries hand stretched to look like a beaver tail!<
Myriam recommended the cinnamon and lemon flavor which was awesome by the way!
After a short walk around Clifton Hill, it was time to head back to Toronto cause I will be meeting a few Malaysian friends for dinner! 😀
We went to this amazing Japanese buffet in Uptown and boy, it was so worth my CND29. This place is called Yamamoto Japanese Cuisine and is located along Kennedy Road.
LOOK AT THE SALMON!
We even got free cheese lobster, and many other different types of japanese food.
Even the desserts were awesome as well especially the green tea ice cream heh.
Ah. Totally the best day ever haha.
THE SASHIMI. UNF.
Yay rare shot of CheeChing hehe!
Dark dark cannot see me! Haha.
I love Niagara Fall, that place is awesome!!
Yah! Although I expected it to be bigger. Movies have deceived me! Haha.
