AirAsia Chiang Mai Adventure Part Five: Ziplining!
The next day after white water rafting at Mae Ping River, we went to another #YOLO adventure, ZIPLININGGGGGGG! We went under Eagle Track Zipline which is a community based tourism operator. It is an hour drive from Chiang Mai city and the best part it is situated between the three hill tribe villages.
We opted for the Silver Package which starts a little lower from the hill, slighty beneath the Gold Package. Here’s a slight breakdown of the package.
After a short truck ride upwards, we were briefed before our first zipline.
We were so noisy that the guide was a little lost because we were talking non stop due to the excitement. π But all went well, and he managed to brief us properly.
And one by one, we flew across the jungle! Seriously, it was the best feeling ever. Adrenaline overload! I bravely brought my camera along and managed to snap pictures of each platform that we experienced.
Different platforms interchanges with ziplining, which was very fun! π And after the platform zig zag walkway (Which I didn’t manage to get a picture urgh), it was ziplining all the way! Never knew flying among trees and plants can be so fun!
However, at the Monkey Bridge, I thought I will die.
It is a super thin bridge and I was agitated from the start.
The guide was trailing behind me and I think he spotted my anxiety. T_____T
He began turning the monkey bridge side to side. T_______T
I seriously told myself I don’t want to die. T_________T
Abseiling then came in, we started from 20 feet. And I yelled all the way down! π The second abseiling came, and I yelled again. Jian said I can win the loudest scream award.
After two more ziplines, it was the last platform. And our worse nightmare.
We prayed in silence because we need to fall 40 feet down!!!
Took risk in taking this photo. If my camera falls, confirm it will shatter to a thousand pieces! O.O
Extreme sports are so fun! π I wanna do it over and over again!
Ziplining conquered! π Thanks AirAsia for the memories. T______T To anyone who are going to Chiang Mai, do try these adventurous activities. Chiang Mai is not all about temples or boring stuff, they have ATB and other activities too. π
Now who wants do adventurous stuff with me? π
