What Nando’s New Cataplana Porto Do to Me

What does this mysterious, bronze dome contains I wonder?

As I opened the dome, a whiff of Peri Peri sauce overwhelmed me..

It is the new Cataplana Original with grilled vegetables and chicken thighs. Crunchy vegetables with basmati rice. I’m not sure if it’s me, but the rice seemed a little too soft.

And Cataplana Porto with mushrooms, olives and chicken thighs which made me spit fire. πŸ˜› Didn’t really fancy the olives as they were quite hard and salty, but it is very fragrant and the chicken thighs were tender and soft. πŸ™‚

I took ‘Hot’ and boy, was it hot.

And the taste gets even hotter as you continue eating. Which is so ADDICTIVE urgh!

But wash it down with some drinks..

And you’ll be ready to go again.

But to me, both the new Cataplana(s) are best for sharing, together with the usual chicken dishes, or side dishes, as it is really quite filling. I usually order ‘Hot’ for my quarter chicken, but Cataplana I think it is best to go with mild.
